For providers
Provider Terms and Conditions
- Effective
- To be set at publication
- Version
- 1.2
These terms govern the relationship between JoVenture and each provider listing on the platform. If you book as a traveller, the customer terms apply to you instead.
Part 1 — Overview
1.1 About JoVenture
JoVenture (“JoVenture”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a Jordanian TravelTech company operating a two-sided online marketplace at joventure.ai (the “Platform”). The Platform connects travellers (“Customers”) seeking authentic, vetted local experiences with independent tourism, adventure, hospitality and experience service providers (“Providers”) based in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Through the Platform, Customers can discover, browse and book services directly from local Providers — including tour guides, adventure operators and experience hosts — with integrated, secure payment. Each Provider receives a branded profile page, booking management tools and access to JoVenture’s traveller audience, replacing the fragmented, informal booking channels most local operators currently rely on.
JoVenture generates revenue through a commission charged to Providers on Bookings completed through the Platform, as set out in Part 3 below. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the relationship between JoVenture and each Provider who registers on the Platform.
1.2 Acceptance of these Terms
By clicking “I agree”, creating a Provider account, or listing any service on the Platform, you (the “Provider”, “you”, “your”) confirm that:
- you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms;
- you are authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or the business you represent;
- the information you provide during registration is true, accurate, and complete.
If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, do not register or list services on the Platform.
1.3 Definitions
- “Platform” — the JoVenture website, mobile applications, and related digital services.
- “Provider Services” — the tourism, adventure, hospitality, or experience services offered by the Provider through the Platform.
- “Customer” — any user who books a Provider Service through the Platform.
- “Booking” — a confirmed reservation for a Provider Service made through the Platform.
- “Commission” — the fee JoVenture charges on eligible Bookings, as defined in Part 3.
- “Content” — text, images, videos, descriptions, prices, and any other material submitted by the Provider to the Platform.
Part 2 — Provider obligations
2.1 Eligibility
To register as a Provider, you must:
- be at least eighteen (18) years of age;
- hold all licences, permits, and registrations legally required to operate your tourism or experience business in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
- have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Jordanian law;
- not be currently suspended or removed from the Platform for any prior violation.
JoVenture reserves the right to refuse registration or terminate an account at its sole discretion.
2.2 Account registration and verification
Account creation. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration, including your legal name or business name, contact details, national ID or commercial registration number, and banking information for payouts.
Verification. JoVenture may request documentation to verify your identity, licensing status, insurance coverage and business standing. You agree to provide such documentation promptly upon request.
Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify JoVenture immediately of any unauthorised use.
One account per Provider. You may not maintain multiple Provider accounts without prior written consent from JoVenture.
2.3 Provider obligations
By registering as a Provider, you agree to:
- deliver Provider Services in a professional, safe and lawful manner, consistent with the descriptions and pricing displayed on the Platform;
- maintain all licences, permits, certifications and regulatory approvals required for your operations, including — where applicable — Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities licensing, Jordan Tourist Guides Association membership, and any other relevant authority;
- carry adequate commercial liability insurance for the nature of your Provider Services, especially for adventure, physical or group activities, and provide copies of valid insurance documentation upon request;
- respond to Customer inquiries and Booking requests through Platform channels within twenty-four (24) hours on working days;
- keep your availability, pricing and Content accurate and up to date at all times;
- not attempt to divert Customers who discovered you through the Platform to external channels to avoid Commission, either during the term of your account or for twelve (12) months after account closure;
- comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, tax, employment and safety regulations in Jordan.
2.4 Booking confirmation
You will receive Booking requests through the Platform and must confirm or decline each request within twenty-four (24) hours.
A confirmed Booking is a binding commitment. Failure to honour confirmed Bookings without valid cause may result in penalties or account suspension.
2.5 Provider cancellations
If you cancel a confirmed Booking for reasons other than force majeure, JoVenture will refund the Customer in full and may apply a service charge to your account. Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension or termination.
2.6 Content ownership and licence
You retain full ownership of all Content you submit to the Platform.
By submitting Content, you grant JoVenture a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, adapt and distribute the Content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Platform, throughout the term of your Provider account and for a reasonable period afterward for archival purposes.
You represent and warrant that all Content is original or properly licensed to you, and that its use on the Platform does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
JoVenture retains full ownership of the JoVenture name, logo, trademarks, Platform design, code and all elements of its brand identity.
2.7 Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- misrepresent your services, credentials or pricing;
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to circumvent, hack or interfere with Platform systems;
- solicit Customers you met through the Platform to book directly with you outside the Platform;
- post, upload or transmit any content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise offensive;
- create fake reviews, ratings or Booking activity;
- share your account credentials with unauthorised parties;
- use automated systems, bots or scrapers to interact with the Platform.
Violation may result in immediate account suspension, termination and legal action.
2.8 Provider liability and indemnification
You accept full responsibility for the safety, quality and delivery of your Provider Services, including any accidents, injuries, damages or losses that may arise. You agree to indemnify and hold JoVenture harmless from any claims, demands, damages or expenses arising from your Provider Services.
2.9 Insurance requirements
You are required to maintain, at your own expense, commercial liability insurance appropriate to your Provider Services. This is especially critical for adventure, outdoor and physical activity operators. JoVenture may request valid insurance documentation at any time and may suspend your account until valid documentation is provided.
2.10 Confidentiality
You agree to keep confidential all non-public business, technical and financial information you access through the Platform, and not to disclose such information to third parties without written consent. This obligation survives account termination for three (3) years.
2.11 Termination by Provider
You may close your Provider account at any time by written notice to JoVenture, subject to honouring all confirmed Bookings before the closure date.
Part 3 — JoVenture obligations
3.1 JoVenture services
We provide you with:
- a branded Provider profile page (yourname.joventure.ai or equivalent) that you can use as your own website and connect directly to your social media channels;
- booking management, integrated payment processing and Customer communication tools;
- listing and promotion across JoVenture marketing channels;
- analytics dashboards showing performance data.
JoVenture makes no guarantee regarding booking volume, revenue or ranking on the Platform. All promotional and operational decisions remain at JoVenture’s discretion.
3.2 Commission and payments
Early Adopter Period. JoVenture waives all Commission on Bookings during the first thirty (30) days from the date your Provider profile becomes live on the Platform. During this period you retain one hundred percent (100%) of Booking revenue, less applicable payment processing fees and taxes.
Standard Commission. After the Early Adopter Period, JoVenture charges Commission of fifteen percent (15%) on Bookings completed through the Platform. The same rate applies to every Provider, whether an individual guide or an operator.
Commission base. Commission is calculated on the gross Booking value, excluding government-imposed taxes.
Bookings taken off the Platform. Commission is charged on every Booking that is made, paid for, or managed through the Platform, including Bookings that begin on your branded Provider page. Your branded page is part of the Platform and is served, secured and paid for by JoVenture.
Commission is not charged on business you arrange and settle entirely outside the Platform — for example, a booking you take in person, by telephone, or by direct bank transfer, where the Platform is not used to take the reservation or the payment. Such Bookings are outside these Terms, and JoVenture provides no payment protection, cancellation cover, dispute handling or reviews for them.
Bringing your own audience. You are encouraged to send your own followers to your JoVenture page, and the Platform is yours to use as your booking system. The same Commission applies to those Bookings, because the Platform still takes the payment, holds the funds, handles cancellations and refunds, and pays you out.
Payout timing. JoVenture transfers your Booking earnings (net of Commission and processing fees) to your registered bank account within seven (7) business days of Service completion, provided no formal Customer complaint is pending.
Statements. JoVenture provides a monthly statement listing all Bookings, Commission charged and amounts transferred.
Fee changes. JoVenture may revise Commission rates with at least thirty (30) days’ prior written notice to Providers. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised rates.
3.3 Nature of JoVenture's role
JoVenture operates as a digital intermediary connecting Providers and Customers. JoVenture is not itself a provider of tourism, adventure or experience services and is not responsible for the delivery, safety or quality of Provider Services.
3.4 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JoVenture’s total liability to you under these Terms shall not exceed the total Commission JoVenture has collected from you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
JoVenture shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption.
3.5 Termination by JoVenture
JoVenture may suspend or terminate your account with thirty (30) days’ written notice, or immediately without notice in the case of:
- material breach of these Terms;
- fraudulent, deceptive or unlawful conduct;
- persistent Customer complaints indicating unsafe or substandard service delivery;
- attempts to circumvent Commission or divert Platform Customers;
- provision of false information during registration or operations.
Upon termination, your listings are removed from the Platform, but obligations related to pending Bookings, payments, confidentiality and the twelve-month non-circumvention clause survive termination.
3.6 Modifications to these Terms
JoVenture may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you at least thirty (30) days before they take effect, either by email or through Platform notifications. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the effective date.
3.7 Data protection
Your personal and business information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. By registering, you consent to the collection, storage and use of your data for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
Part 4 — End user (Customer) provisions
4.1 Customer bookings and payments
Customer payments are collected by JoVenture at the time of Booking and held until Service completion.
4.2 Customer cancellations and refunds
- More than 48 hours before Service time: full refund to Customer.
- 24–48 hours before Service time: 50% refund to Customer, 50% retained by Provider.
- Less than 24 hours before Service time: no refund, full amount payable to Provider.
4.3 Force majeure
Cancellations caused by severe weather, security closures, natural disasters or public health emergencies are handled case-by-case between the parties and are not subject to standard cancellation penalties.
Part 5 — General and legal provisions
5.1 Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
5.2 Dispute resolution
The parties will attempt to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms amicably within thirty (30) days of written notice.
If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of Amman, Jordan, whose decisions shall be final and binding.
5.3 General provisions
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any signed offline agreement between JoVenture and the Provider, constitute the entire agreement between the parties. In case of conflict, the signed offline agreement prevails.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without JoVenture’s prior written consent. JoVenture may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
No waiver. Failure by JoVenture to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other provision.
Language. These Terms are published in English and Arabic. In case of conflict between the two versions, the Arabic version shall prevail.
